Table of Contents
What is Disqus?
How does Pugpig Bolt integrate with Disqus?
Required SSO
Please note you will need a Disqus Comments Business plan to use our implementation, this is currently the only plan that supports SSO which our implementation requires
To use Disqus SSO, your authentication service needs to return a user ID, username and email. Please see Disqus documentation under “The message body” heading
Our Disqus integration currently supports the following authentication providers:
- Piano
- Zephyr
Please get in touch if you'd like to use Disqus with a different provider.
Comments
Disqus allows publishers to add comments to their content, visible only to signed-in users.
Star Ratings
Star ratings let users provide quick feedback alongside their comment, offering publishers valuable insights. On threads where Star Ratings are enabled, an average rating and rating count will appear at the top of the thread.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
SSO is required for this implementation, ensuring seamless user authentication. A Disqus Comments Business plan is required to use SSO.
Coming in a later version
- More customisable copy to display on Disqus embed for non-authenticated users
