Strong Security

Pugpig Bolt offers a Strong Security option for the content served in the apps. This means that any paid content cannot be shared or accessed without user authorisation - thereby preventing unauthorised user access to your content and mitigating AI-scraping attempts.
At a more technical level, this means paywalling is moved to the CDN-level, rather than being handled client-side (i.e in the apps). Therefore users who have URLs to content they aren't entitled to access will not be able to access them, instead being served an error or blurred-out and unreadable version of the content.
Notes
- Strong Security is not currently supported with Metered or Dynamic Paywalls as access to this content is determined later.
- Users trying to access content they're entitled to outside of the apps may be met with unauthorised error pages or blurred-out content. For the best user experience end-users should remain in the apps at all times.
