Regional Feeds
Share the same posts across multiple publications with regional content feeds
Table of Contents
Overview
This Express feature allows you to send content from a singular CMS into multiple content feeds, which can then be plugged into different publications. This is most commonly used when several publications under an account share the same content, and can be especially helpful when content is created manually. Regional feeds remove the need to create or import the same article multiple times across different instances.
Setup
Regional feeds are set up in Express > Pugpig Settings. You can specify region codes e.g UK and US. The plugin distinguishes content by referring to its collection tag and checking if the collection tag has a regional code suffix, i.e. november_2024US vs november_2024UK. If an edition is shared across several different apps, multiple collection tags should be configured on it to get the content in the relevant feeds.
If there's some shared content across different publications, you can create a collection per region/publication with a singular collection tag and manually curate each flatplan. This allows manual control over which articles are shared between collections, as well as the order the articles appear in each flatplan.
