Advertising improvements
Advertising is an ever increasing focus and we've made a few changes to ensure we're supporting it in the right way. We've now added the option to display a background on your sticky banner ads (the ones stuck to the tab bar at the bottom of articles or timelines) as recommended by Google. We also no longer show in-content ads if the paywall is present.
Who's affected: Clients who use sticky banner ads in their timelines or content.
What you need to do: App update to 3.18 and if you'd like to display a background around your ads let us know.
Query string support
Being able to add query strings to URLs can be very helpful both for your users and you. You can use them to remain logged in when going from the app to your website, or to know where a user has come from. While we do already support these for going to external domains from the app. We can now support them for content, such as iframes, within the app.
Who's affected: Clients who use iframes within the app that load their own website.
What you need to do: App update to 3.18 and reach out to discuss configuration.
