Pugpig Site supports all oEmbed providers and several other providers out of the box.

Other embeds can be added by pasting custom markup into the Custom HTML block. In this case the provider should supply you with the markup to use.

A note on Instagram and Facebook

In late 2020 Facebook implemented a breaking API change that essentially broke all Facebook and Instagram embeds in Wordpress that used the oEmbed or embed block functionality. Instead, developers are now required to use a token to access the Graph API and enable embedding to work as before.

The steps that must be followed are detailed below.

1. Go to developers.facebook.com 
2. Create a Developer account (if you don't have one already)
3. Follow the prompts to register a Facebook application
4. Add the oEmbed product to your Facebook app
5. Create an App Access Token

We recommend following the official Facebook and Instagram documentation to work your way through this process.
